Meet Your Rental Rep: Todd Massaro

Meet one of our newest rental representatives, Todd Massaro! 2019 has been a busy year so far for Todd, changing positions at Ohio Cat from inside sales to out on the field as well as welcoming his first child, all within a few weeks. Todd is hardworking, friendly faced, and not afraid to go above and beyond for his customers. If you are in the Medina, Lorain, Erie or Huron counties, you are in luck because Todd is there for you!

Where are you from?

I am from Medina, Ohio, I was born in this area.

 Where did you go to school?

I am a graduate of Cloverleaf High School and attended The Ohio State University.

How long have you been with Ohio Cat?

I have been with Ohio Cat for 4 years now. I started my journey as a sales coordinator, then took a role as an inside sales representative out of our North Canton Branch. I joined the rental side of the business in February 2019.

 How did you get started in the industry?

I grew up in agriculture and have been operating various machines since I was young. I have always had a passion for heavy equipment and the engineering behind them.

What brought you to Ohio Cat?

I had been familiar with the company and was looking for a new opportunity. I found a position that I thought I would be a great candidate for so I applied. I knew I wanted to be in the sales side of the business so I started as a coordinator learning the ropes and have worked my way to now being an outside rental representative.

What was your favorite part about working as an inside sales rep and what are you most excited about working as a rental rep in the field?

I really enjoyed helping customers and getting them excited about our offerings. To be able to assist someone with their job and to see the positive outcome really means a lot to me. The most exciting part of working in the field for me is to ability to actually go see the customer’s job site and how they are using our equipment to get the job done.

Do you have a favorite piece of equipment?

The Excavator!

What are your hobbies outside of Ohio Cat?

Outside of Ohio Cat I enjoy spending time with my wife and our daughter, Lauren. We enjoy going to the lake and spending time on the water. I also enjoy going out to our family farm and helping out with whatever needs to be done. I really enjoy the outdoors and skiing during the winter too.

Do you have any pets?

I have a Black Lab named Rocco.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by my family.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

Most people don’t know that I played in an international baseball tournament in Mexico City for Team USA. The tournament was for the World Children’s Baseball Championship.

Favorite place you’ve ever traveled?

Ski Trips to the Rockies!

 Do you have a bucket list?

I would love to make my way out to ski Banff in Canada.
